Who are We ...
- The Des Moines Lake Association is a local, not-for-profit, non-political association made up of property owners from the village of Webb Lake and the area surrounding Des Moines Lake. A Board of Directors is elected by the membership and supports the following mission statement and objectives:

- To protect the natural environmental health and beauty of Des Moines Lake and surrounding community.
- To represent issues affecting its membership and their quality of life.

- To maintain the environmental health of Des Moines Lake
- To monitor developments which affect the environment of Des Moines Lake
- To represent the needs of its members
- To interface with and monitor the policies and activities of all levels of government and non-government agencies
- To inform members of local issues through this website, regular newsletters, and the Annual General Meeting
- To co-operate with other associations having similar objectives
- Participate in and contribute to local community

Things to Remember When Visiting the Lake... |
| No Wake from 5:00 PM until 10:00 AM |

The Township of Webb Lake has an ordinance
stating that it is unlawful to produce a wake on any of the
Township lakes between the hours of 5:00 PM and 10:00 AM.
This makes for very peaceful mornings and evenings around
our lake, while allowing for plenty of quality daylight time
for water skiing, wake boarding, tubing, and other recreational
boat and PWC activities. Please be mindful of this law and
be sure that your guests or cabin renters are aware of this
as well. |

SCUBA Diving Awareness |

Because of the clarity of our Des Moines Lake water, several groups enjoy the sport SCUBA diving here. Please learn to recognize dive flags (shown here) that are displayed on a flotation device or an anchored watercraft or boat.
It in unlawful for any boat or water skier to operate or approach closer than 100 feet to any SCUBA or skin diver's flag or any swimmer unless the boat is part of the diving operation or is accompanying the diver.

For the most part, our Des Moines Lake community is a law-abiding, respectful group. If you are going to have your cabin or home used by guests or renters, please make them aware of basic boating, noise, and fireworks laws that are in place in our community. |
